You can explore the public catalogue without an account.

When you create an account

The site stores your username, email, password hash, saved songs, private collections and corrections. Passwords are hashed by Django. Collections are accessible to your account; administrators can access records to operate the service.

Essential browser storage

Session and security cookies keep you signed in and protect forms. The installable web experience stores a generic offline page. It does not cache your private library or authentication responses. The site does not include its own advertising or analytics scripts.

Listening preferences and shared collections

Listening history is off by default. You can enable it, disable it or clear it from Listening history. When enabled, we retain up to 100 recently played songs. Collections are private unless you enable a share link; anyone with that link can view its published songs. Disabling sharing revokes the old link.

Catalogue activity

We count aggregate song plays and raga visits without storing account IDs or IP addresses in the analytics table. No-results search text is shared with editors only if you select the sharing checkbox. Do not submit personal information in search text. Administrators can remove old metrics with the maintenance command.

External sign-in

If configured, Google or the ecosystem identity provider supplies a stable account identifier and verified email to sign you in. Existing local accounts are linked only after you sign into the local account. We do not retain provider access tokens.

The raga clock

Your browser sends the selected hour, from 0 to 23, to the recommendation service. It does not request your GPS location. Standard hosting logs may record request information such as an IP address.

Embedded YouTube playback

Choosing Play here loads YouTube’s player and shares connection information with Google, including your IP address and site origin. YouTube may use browser storage and show advertising under its own terms and privacy policy. No player is loaded before you click Play here.

External listening links

When you open Spotify, YouTube, YouTube Music or Apple Music, that service’s own terms and privacy settings apply. We do not receive your listening history from those services.

Corrections and account requests

Your suggestions are visible to you and site editors. Do not include sensitive personal information in a correction.

Account management is available through the site administrator.
